$150,000 STOCKHOLM WATER PRIZE LAUREATE ANNOUNCEMENT IS MARCH 22

The Stockholm Water Prize Laureate for 2002 will be announced at 11.00 Central European Time in Stockholm on March 22, the United Nations World Water Day.

The Stockholm Water Prize Laureate for 2002 will be announced at 11.00 Central European Time in Stockholm on March 22, the United Nations
World Water Day.

The $150,000 Stockholm Water Prize is the leading international award for achievements
on behalf of the worlds water and is being presented by the Stockholm Water Foundation
for the 12th time. It is awarded to an individual, institution, organization or company in honor of outstanding research or action that increases knowledge of water as a resource
and protects its usability for all life.

The announcement will be made during a press conference at the Stockholm City Hall and posted along with photos and related information at www.siwi.org.

His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden is the patron of the Stockholm Water Prize
and will present the award at a ceremony in the Stockholm City Hall on August 15 during the 2002 World Water Week in Stockholm.
