Are you ready to learn? Information Gatekeepers Announces Telecom Education Week

This news release is to alert people to an upcoming event held by Information Gatekeepers, Inc. The event regards telecom education and learning, and will be held March 12-14 in Marlboro, MA, at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel.

March 4, 2002 - Information Gatekeepers Inc. (IGI), in cooperation with the Boston Section of the Institute of Electrical & Electronic Engineers (IEEE), will hold Telecom Education Week in Marlboro, MA, at the Best Western Royal Plaza Hotel on March 12-14, 2002.

The education program will consist of over twenty half-day tutorials, and one and two-day short courses on fiber optics and optical networks. The courses range from basic to advanced and are scheduled to meet the needs of the Northeast Telecom Industry. All instructors are experts in the field who cover the latest developments in their area(s) of expertise. Popular courses include:

- ABC's Of Fiber Optics - Do you know the ABC's of Fiber Optics? Taught by Dr. Paul Polishuk of IGI Consulting, ABC's of Fiber Optics will provide an overview of the basic concepts of fiber optics and optical networks. The course is intended for both technical and non-technical professionals, so whatever your background, it's a fit for you.

- Reliability Methodologies for Passive Fiber Optic Components - The quantification of reliability for fiber optic passive components is a broad, complex and difficult issue primarily driven by three factors. Come find out what they are during this intense tutorial taught by David Maack of JDS Uniphase.

- Basics of Fiber Optics Test & Measurement - Test & Measurement is a hot topic right now. This is one of two courses taught on the subject by Kevin Lefebvre of NetTest. If you are past the basic stages, take advantage of the advanced course. Or take both!
