Marketing Certification now available online for College Students

The eMarketing Association (eMA) today announced it would be providing the Certified eMarketing Associate Certification (CeMA) online to college students worldwide.

LOS ANGELES -- 3/6/02- The eMarketing Association (eMA) today announced it would be providing the Certified eMarketing Associate Certification (CeMA) online to college students worldwide. The CeMA certification recognizes business and marketing students who have met high standards of competency, knowledge and ability. The program is industry sponsored and endorsed and administered and accredited by the eMA. Students can now apply online at the associations website: www.emarketingassociation.com

Robert Fleming, president of the eMA said, "Since the practice of e-marketing is relatively new, marketing and business students need a program that certifies competency. The CeMA designation provides a valuable credential for college admission boards, employers and clients. According to the U.S. Department of Labor Certification-a sign of competence and achievement in this field-is particularly important in a competitive job market. While relatively few advertising, marketing, and public relations managers currently are certified, the number of managers who seek certification is expected to grow."

"We have worked with colleges, educators, business executives and e-marketing professionals to develop the criteria for the CeMA examination", Fleming said. The CeMA Certification debuted in Utah High Schools and colleges last fall.

The eMA is the professional association for companies and individuals involved in the practice of e-marketing and the integration of on-line and off-line marketing.
The eMA is a premier resource for web certifications, professional certifications, seminars, events, processes, trade shows, news, standards, advertising, techniques, and trends. The Association is committed to enriching the e-marketing community through recognition, research, advocacy education, and service.
