Fagliarone Group CPAs Presents at Budget Seminar

SYRACUSE, N.Y., March 5, 2002 -- Three employees from Fagliarone Group CPAs, PC will be among the presenters at Lorman Education Services seminar titled Developing, Managing and Analyzing a Budget." The seminar is being held on Thursday, March 21, 2002 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Carrier Circle in East Syracuse. The cost to attend is $269 per person. The seminar is designed for business owners, organization leaders, managers with financial responsibilities and others who need to read and understand financial reports and budgets.

   Seminar presenters include: Charles J. Baracco, CPA and Principal of Fagliarone Group CPAs; Robert Hillick, CPA and Audit Manager at Fagliarone Group CPAs; Edward F. Saroney III, CPA, ABV/CVA and Principal of Fagliarone Group CPAs; Matthew Dunn, CPA and President of Information Management Solutions; and Edward A. Slank, Vice President at M&T Bank. The seminar will end with a panel discussion featuring Stephan Siano from Blasland Bouck & Lee, Michael Trapani from Jacobs Press and David Duerr from the Greater Syracuse Chamber of Commerce.

   Baracco will begin the seminar discussing the different types of organizational budgets and how to develop them. Saroney will review the key elements of a budget by demonstrating a hypothetical case study. He will cover operations, revenue, expenses, cash flow and balance sheets. Hillick will discuss how to evaluate a budget and analyze differences based on business plan performance and non-financial measures. Slank will discuss sensitivity analysis, incremental projections and traditional versus true cash flow. Dunn will review budgeting software and how organizations can select the right one.

The seminar will conclude with a panel round-table discussion on budgeting from service, manufacturing and nonprofit organization perspectives.
