EnterVision CEO meets with President of Israel, D. Prime Minister of Canada
Discusses future of the Internet, multimedia and Peace in the Middle East
Los Angeles, CA.- March 7, 2002- Herbert L. Becker, president and CEO of EnterVision, Inc., an Internet broadcasting solutions company, went to Ottawa Canada today to meet and lunch with Moshe Katsav, the President of Israel and Canada's Deputy Prime Minister, John Manley.
The talks encompassed the future of the Internet, which Herbert Becker said, "The Internet is still in its infancy. The Dot Com bust was merely the first correction needed in this new space. The net, as we know it, is changing, but the net is not going away, on the contrary, it is becoming an even larger part of our way of life."
On the subject of multimedia, Herbert Becker discussed the new ways the Internet would begin to interact in all of our lifestyles, he said, "Currently the net has become a great way to do research, stay in touch with friends, associates and loved ones (with E-mail), promote a company, product or theme (using Web sites) and of course swapping files. This is just the start, revolutionary products such as our professional broadcast servers and our $200 Home Broadcaster, are beginning to open up larger doors." Becker added, "Our software and servers allow for real time transmission of movies, TV, pay per view, video conferencing, distance learning, distance security and distance video surveillance recording, just to name a few of our advances."
The EnterVision product line includes the EnterVision Professional Broadcaster, developed for the television broadcasting and cable industries, Home Broadcaster and Radio Broadcaster for consumers as well as the TELEVISION. The EnterVision Professional Broadcaster can be used for direct, live web broadcasting with true TV quality. All products are Microsoft platform applications.
"The EnterVision line of products demonstrates the power of the openly licensable Windows Media technology platform," said Dave Fester, general manager of marketing for Microsoft's Digital Media Division. "The open makes it possible for companies to develop solutions for specialized audiences, opening up opportunities for content creators, television broadcasters, movie producers and consumers alike."
Regarding Israel, Becker has a vision for deploying a security net of wireless cameras allowing IDF forces to keep a safe eye on her borders, security check points and other flash points, from a safe distance, recording the information, if needed. All done using remote cameras, EnterVision servers and the Internet or Intranet for secure multimedia delivery.
On the issue of peace in the Middle East, Becker agrees with President Katsav that Israel wants peace and a stable economy and is willing to talk to the PA in order to achieve this goal, that bullets are not the answer.
Becker is confident that there is tremendous growth in the high tech sectors in Israel, Canada and the United States.
In Canada, broadband for all, has been the talk of Ottawa for quite some time as a nation wide initiative of the government, now it seems to have been put on the back shelf. "Investing in a broadband solution for all Canadians must not be shelved, the investment will be well worth the results," Becker stated to represent ivies of the Canadian government.
