Parcus Networks, Inc. Announces Private Label Browser Licensing Agreement
Agreement Brings Together Online Shoppers And America's Leading Companies To Help In The September 11th Fund Raising Efforts
ATLANTA, GA--Mar 4, 2002 -- Parcus Networks, Inc. (PNI) announced today that a Private Label Browser Licensing Agreement has been signed with UltraBrowser.com, Inc. to market the private labeled Patriotic Browser throughout the U.S. The private labeled Patriotic Browser interfaces with PNI's ShopForAmerica.org Internet shopping portal.
Under the Agreement, PNI will promote and market the customized Patriotic Browser through participating retail stores, service companies and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) throughout the U.S. Users can download the browser themselves by going to www.shopforamerica.org or download the browser at participating companies' web sites.
The Patriotic Browser allows people to feel and extend the patriotism to their desktop. A link to ShopForAmerica.org provides users with the opportunity to shop online- all in an effort to create additional and continuous sources of contributions for the victims of the tragedy of September 11th. "We brought together some of the best brands and leading companies to help raise funds," said Jeff LeMay, Vice President, Technical Services/CTO. "We are utilizing existing channels and giving everyone a chance to make contributions with no extra effort and no additional costs to people making purchases through the ShopForAmerica.org shopping portal."
ShopForAmerica.org was launched to help with fund raising efforts for families affected by the September 11th tragedy and future needs. Through ShopForAmerica.org's web site, leading companies- including AT&T, Citigroup, Delta, America Express, Continental Airline, eBay, Amazon, Gap, Dell, Disney, Avon, OfficeMax, Office Depot, OldNavy, and USA Today, and hundreds more online merchants will rebate a percentage of a customer's spending to ShopForAmerica.org. A large percentage of the rebate proceeds from the online purchases made with the participating merchants will go to relief efforts.
Jeff LeMay said, "We are extremely proud to have the ability to participate with brand-name companies to generate revenues while giving to the victims of 9/11. Professionally, I have never been responsible for a project that is more important and personally rewarding."
Companies can offer the Patriotic Browser or may offer a version of the customized patriotic web browser specially designed for increasing the company's brand awareness while participating in bringing together online shoppers and America's leading companies to help in the September 11th fund raising efforts.
