Mythicnet Brings Classic Literature into the Digital Age with DVD-LIT
We have an educational DVD production of William Shakespeare's "Macbeth" that is available immediately. We are trying to make retail, distributors and educators aware of our new product.
Los Angeles, CA, 2/19/02 -- After being in business for 2 years, Mythicnet, LLC, a digital multimedia production company, has earned business from companies such as Universal, Bain & Associates, DDO Agency, Epitaph Records, Hollywood Records and Warner Brothers. This up-and-coming young company is equipped to handle video production, post-production, special effects, web design/production, and CD-ROM/DVD production/authoring.
Mythicnets founding members have deep roots in the national regional theatre scene and strong ties to education, as well as substantial experience working in the burgeoning new media markets. As a result, they felt that it made sense to combine the best aspects of theatre, education and technology to create a new educational tool that would get young people excited about classic literature. Mythicnet is creating a series of digital textbooks using cutting edge DVD technology and calling it DVD-LIT. The first in the DVD-LIT series is Macbeth. This DVD has an abridged performance of the play broken up into four sections with commentary to offer thematic and literary analysis. The user can move easily move from the program to the text which has footnoted words and phrases and return directly to the video at any time! DVD-ROM extras include: critical commentary, a full HTML version of the text with hyperlinked footnotes, literary terms glossary, quizzes, lesson plans and discussion topics for each section.
DVD-LIT is currently available through Library Video Company, Amazon and will soon be available through www.dvdlit.com.
DVD-LIT is currently in pre-production on their second release and is actively pursuing investors.
DVD-LIT is an exciting new product that utilizes state-of-the-art technology to bring classic literature into the 21st century in a unique and entertaining way. For more information contact, EJ Kerwin or Brett Truett, 818.692.5448 or mythic@mythicnet.com.
