ROYAL CHILDRENS HOSPITAL & IBA HEALTH IMPROVE EFFICIENCY AND CARE WITH IBAS NEW BROWSER BASED PATIENT SOLUTION

Leading health information solutions company, IBA Health (ASX : IBA) announced today that it has installed its new internet browser based Patient Administration System (PAS) at Melbournes leading paediatric hospital, Royal Childrens Hospital (RCH).

Sydney, March 13 2002 -- Leading health information solutions company, IBA Health (ASX : IBA) announced today that it has installed its new internet browser based Patient Administration System (PAS) at Melbournes leading paediatric hospital, Royal Childrens Hospital (RCH).

The implementation is the first in Australia for IBAs internet browser based Patient Administration System. It is believed to be one of the first major public hospitals in Australia to install such a system. The RCH selected IBA as it will provide the hospital with a solid foundation to produce an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) -- the key to the future of health information in Australia.

Mr Gerard McPhee, Chief Information Officer at the RCH has been working relentlessly on securing the most suitable system for the past 4 years. We are pleased to partner with IBA -- a reliable Australian company that is able to successfully deliver a project of such magnitude to a large public hospital like the Royal Childrens", says Mr McPhee.

RCH selected IBA to provide a system that could ensure organisational progression as their previous system became obsolete. The hospital was nearing its one millionth patient which could not be maintained with their older technology.

The key success factors have been IBAs team spirit and dedication to the installation whilst seeing the project through to its entirety", says Josephine Raw, Coordinator of Health Information Management at the RCH. We also selected IBAs system for its open architecture, its interface to an Oracle database combined with a flexible internet browser to view patient records. IBAs product is attractive with an exceptional design making it easy for all users to navigate and was the most suitable system to the hospitals requirements", Ms Raw continues.

Being an internet browser based system means that it is highly intuitive and has reduced training time and costs to the hospital.

IBA has delivered a platform that has put the Royal Childrens Hospital in one of the best positions in the public hospital system for setting up an EMR in Australia," adds Gerard McPhee.

The implementation has been applauded by all levels of staff at the hospital -- from the Executive Director through to the end users.

IBA strives to provide hospitals with systems that enable the enhancement of patient care -- our new browser based PAS system will allow staff throughout the Royal Childrens Hospital to access consolidated patient information resulting in more efficient business operations. The implementation of IBA PAS will permit our clients to focus on their core business -- improving the care of sick children", says Mr Gary Cohen, Executive Chairman of IBA Health.

We are pleased to be able to supply a leading edge hospital like the Royal Childrens with a system that provides staff with a basis to improve patient care whilst maintaining the values of the RCH", continues Mr Cohen.
