Reporting directly to MQSoftwares CEO and president Bill Cecchi, McDermott will be based in MQSoftwares UK offices near London, and will have responsibility for sales, marketing, channel development and business operations for its international subsidiaries. Previously, McDermott was a vice president at Candle Corporation, where he championed geographic sales, marketing and the IBM business relationship for the U.S., Europe and Asia/Pacific. Prior to Candle, McDermott was with IBM for eight years in sales and marketing management positions both in the U.S. and Europe where he focused on computer software, specializing in business integration software driven by IBMs MQSeries® family, now branded as WebSphere MQ.
