CASTLE HAYNE, NC -- March 18, 2002 -- VisionAIR, Inc., a developer of software and wireless solutions with a proven track record in the public safety industry, announced today that the Grove City Police Department will deploy VisionAIRs Computer-Aided Dispatch (VisionCAD), Law Enforcement Records Management System (VisionRMS), Inmate Management System (VisionJAIL), and Wireless Information Solution (VisionMOBILE). The innovative applications, which operate on the Microsoft® Windows 2000 platform, are part of VisionAIRs fully integrated Public Safety Suite® of products.

According to Grove City Police Chief James McKean, 21st century police departments must operate in three spheres to insure success: prompt response to citizen requests for service; tactical or directed patrol; and problem solving. An integral component of this strategy is timely crime analysis for the core function of the agency-patrol. We believe the VisionAIR system will supply our officers with the technological tools to accomplish this strategy, accomplish our mission and provide a safe community environment for our citizens."

Once implemented, VisionCAD will offer Grove City telecommunicators numerous, previously unavailable options. Dispatchers will be able to customize user interfaces, view historical call data, and associate particular call types with special instructions, including pre-planned units. VisionRMS, a sophisticated records management application, will enable the agency to record incidents and arrests, manage cases and track evidence. Additional modules will store data related to warrants, citations, bike registrations, parking violations, traffic accidents, budgets and administrative issues. More common information (i.e., name, address, vehicle and property information) will be maintained in the VisionRMS master databases and will remain available to Grove City dispatchers through integration with VisionCAD.

Installed on laptop computers, VisionMOBILE provides officers with wireless access to mission-critical information. The application will allow Grove City police to run their own warrant and license plate checks remotely without disturbing dispatchers or tying up valuable radio resources. Integration with VisionCAD and VisionRMS will enable officers to initiate their own calls, status themselves and obtain important data concerning suspects and call locations. Easy-to-use and touch-screen compatible, VisionMOBILE empowers officers, making them better informed, more efficient and safer.

VisionAIR's Public Safety Suite offers Grove City dependable applications based on Microsoft's proven client-server architecture," explained Todd Hurley, IS manager for Grove City. The design allows for a high degree of flexibility and effective integration between applications. More importantly, our IT staff appreciates the fact that VisionAIR's applications are easier to support than non Windows-based alternatives. Such a quality is essential when you consider the nature of mission-critical environments."

Grove City is a vibrant Central Ohio community of approximately 25,000 residents. Just ten minutes from downtown Columbus, Grove City benefits from the corporate growth of Ohio's capitol city area, while retaining its own identity as a comfortable small-town community where managed growth and quality amenities are among the top priorities. Grove City Police Department develops and delivers high quality police service through unique technological and innovative training methods, specialized investigation and professional, unbiased enforcement.

Our employees remain committed to providing the residents of this community with a safe place to work and live," said police chief James McKean. We are proud of our accomplishments and accept the challenges of the future with confidence. We base our confidence on the continued support of our citizens and administration, recognizing that we are blessed to work in one of the greatest communities in central Ohio."
