New features of Schema2Java Compiler v.1.6 include XML Schema importing, XML Schema inclusion, and Attribute Groups, in addition to the now standard features of custom namebinding, namespace support, XML Schema validation and both GUI and command line interfaces.

Tailored for Web Services developers, Schema2Java Compiler automatically converts XML Schemas into Java classes. Schema2Java Compiler was first released as a web-based service in June 2001, just three weeks after the publication of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) XML Schema Recommendation.
