On Guard !
Foil Thieves With Todson's Tough New Locks

DATELINE: FOXBORO, MA; ISSUED MARCH 15, 2002 . . .
To complement their Topeak line of bicycle accessories, Todson has added "OnGuard," an extensive lineup of tough new locks, certain to keep your bike secure in even the most crime-infested neighborhood.

"Security is always a major concern for cyclists," says Neal Todrys, President of Todson. "Bikes that cost hundreds -- or even thousands -- of dollars are always a target for thieves. Our "OnGuard" locks now provide the highest level of theft protection, along with Topeak's reputation for quality at a very attractive price. These locks are already proven performers in Europe, where they are the best-selling locks on the market."

For every security need, you will find the right product in the vast arsenal of "OnGuard" locks. Todson's "OnGuard" product line includes 32 different locks, including a wide array of U-locks, armored cables, standard cable locks, heavy-duty coil cables, and covered chain/padlock units. Each lock category features both key-accessed lock models and 7-pin cylinder combination lock models. As an extra value feature, all key lock models come with five duplicate keys.

To help you choose the right lock for your bike, "OnGuard" locks are rated for three different security levels. "Basic" security level locks are best used in low crime areas, such as rural towns and suburbs. "High" security locks provide top-level theft resistance, for use on college campuses, recreational sites and high crime suburban areas. The "Ultimate" level of "OnGuard" lock provides maximum protection against theft, and is designed for use in major cities, downtown locations, high crime campuses and urban areas.

All "OnGuard" locks are constructed of the highest quality materials. "OnGuard" U-locks feature ultra-hardened steel shackles and anti-drill plates. "OnGuard" armored cables combine strength and lightness, with twisted steel cable covered by hardened steel links to guard against bolt cutters, saws, hammers and files. "OnGuard" cable locks feature extra-flexible steel cable, offering high security and superior cut resistance. "OnGuard" coil cables are light and compact, easy to carry and use. Heavy-duty steel cable is covered by a tough vinyl cover, and features an easily installed universal frame bracket. "OnGuard" chain/padlock models offer one of the best security solutions. Specially hardened chains are covered with a nylon sheath and provide extreme resistance against drills, bolt cutters, saws, hammers, files and lock pickers.

Confronted with an "OnGuard" lock, many a bike thief will simply change his mind and look elsewhere. "OnGuard": providing security solutions around the globe. It's one mean lock!

From Topeak bike accessories to Pony tricycles, Todson has successfully marketed recreational good for more than 50 years. Now in its third generation of family ownership, Todson specializes in strategic sales and marketing, distribution, brand management and e-commerce.
