RESEAL announces new Chief Executive Officer to launch new global marketing plan for new resealable beverage packaging products

March 15, 2002 Berlin Germany - Advanced Technology Industries, Inc. (OTCBB: AVDI) is pleased to announce that Dr. Markus Witschi has agreed to become Chief Executive Officer and Director of RESEAL Ltd., its 96% owned subsidiary, effective May 1, 2002. Dr. Witschi will be responsible for all of RESEAL operations and global marketing efforts for the launch of RESEALs new line of resealable beverage packaging.

Mr. Hans-Joachim Skrobanek, President of Advanced Technology Industries, Inc., said, We are pleased that Dr. Witschi has decided to join RESEAL, Ltd. Dr. Witschis development and marketing expertise from the beverage industry should insure a successful product launch later this year of the proprietary resealable technology. Dr. Witschi has demonstrated his expertise at both PepsiCo and Coca Cola corporations where he headed product development and successfully launched new, innovative products. He is intimately familiar with the global markets and how to successfully dominate these markets."        

Dr. Witschi previously served as Head of European Product Development for PepsiCo, Inc. Dr. Witschi also served as Marketing Director of Flavored Products and Marketing Director Cola Products for PepsiCo serving in both the United States and Germany. Additionally, Dr. Witschi served as Director of Business Development for the Coca-Cola Company. Dr. Witschi also served as Marketing Manager Europe and Marketing Director Switzerland for Coca-Cola, serving in the United States, Switzerland and Germany.

Dr. Witschi has been employed previously by Nissan Motor AG, Nissan Motor Europe in positions that included Vice President, General Manager Europe and Managing Director Switzerland. Dr. Witschi has previously served in executive positions with C&A Europe, Callahan Inc., and EOL SA. He has also served as Guest Professor at the Management School University of St. Gallen, lecturing on corporate strategy, marketing, mergers, acquisitions and communication.

Dr. Witschi received a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Ph.D. from Pacific Western University.
