CNBC Wake Up Call" Anchor Keynotes at FOLIO
Join the LI Coalition for Fair Broadcasting and keynote speaker CNBC's "Wake Up Call" anchor Liz Claman when they honor the region's top broadcast journalists for outstanding Long Island news reporting at the annual FOLIO Awards Luncheon. More than 700 prominent Long Island business, civic and government leaders and media professionals will attend this exciting event.
Business news veteran Liz Claman, will be the keynote speaker at the Long Island Coalition for Fair Broadcasting's Annual FOLIO Awards on Friday, April 19 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury. Liz is an accomplished business reporter and an excellent speaker, making her the perfect headliner for FOLIO," said coalition executive director Jaci Clement.
Liz Claman joined CNBC in April 1998, after spending three years as an anchor/reporter for the NBC affiliate in Boston. During that time, she also served as contributing correspondent for the NBC-syndicated daytime show, RealLife." At age 23, she became the youngest person in the history of KCBS-TV, Los Angeles to win a local Emmy for Best Spot News Producer. She has also served as anchor of the ABC affiliate morning show Morning Exchange" in Cleveland where she won her second Emmy. Claman holds a bachelors degree in French language from the University of California at Berkeley, and a Certificat Superieur from the Universite de Paris, La Sorbonne.
Masters of Ceremonies for the FOLIO Luncheon are CBS 2's news anchor team Ernie Anastos and Dana Tyler. FOLIO Award Presenters include on-air talent from ABC 7, FOX 5, NBC 4, UPN 9, WB11 and area politicians.
