BINGO!
Entertaining Bridal Guests for Five Fun Years

DATELINE: NORWELL, MA; ISSUED MARCH 20, 2002 . . .
It's been five fun years of "Bingo for Bridal Showers," spicing up the showers of more than 8,000 brides.

Let's face it. Nothing can be duller than spending a few hours stuck at a banquet table, ooohing and aaahing as the bride-to-be opens a seemingly endless series of the same old, standard shower gifts. Wedding trends may come and go, but the bridal shower seems eternally destined to be more "obligation" than "party" for those having to attend.

Not any more.

For the past five years, "Bingo For Bridal Showers" has made festive occasions of the once-deadly bridal shower. In a clever new twist on a popular old pastime, "Bingo For Bridal Showers" ensures that everyone attending has a good time.

Shower guests are given one-of-a-kind bingo cards, with 25 different gift possibilities replacing the standard bingo numbers. As the bride opens her piles of gifts, guests mark off those printed on their card. The first guest to mark five in a row shouts "BINGO!" and wins a prize.

Want to extend the fun? Keep on playing until someone gets the more elaborate Bingo patterns -- say, the "Letter T" or the "Coverall". "Bingo For Bridal Showers" turns the gradual unveiling of that mountain of wrapped boxes into a potential prize for your now-captivated audience.

Gifts listed on the cards run the gamut from the naughty negligee or traditional china, right on down to that trendy wok or sensible spice rack. By matching up the gifts on one's card with those the bride receives, guests stay entertained until that last present is unwrapped.

"Bingo For Bridal Showers" is the brainchild of Eileen Shaw, who invented the off-beat game after she decided that she "just could not sit through another traditional bridal shower". "Bingo For Bridal Showers" sold in sets of 50 one-of-a-kind cards at bridal shops and party stores throughout the country. The game can also be ordered online for $19.95, plus shipping, at www.bingoforbridalshowers.com, or by calling
(800) 983-4321.
