First Utah-based Company to Gain ISO-9001 Certification Passes its Latest ISO Quality Audit

parvus Corporation of Salt Lake City Maintains ISO-9001 Certification

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - March 21, 2002 - parvus Corporation today announced that its quality management system has been audited by the accredited ISO registrar Eagle Registrations Inc. and found in compliance with globally recognized ISO quality standards.

This latest ISO recertification marks nine continuous years that parvus has met the ISO-9001 standard, making parvus the longest running ISO-9001 certified company headquartered in Utah. The 9001 quality standard created by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) applies to companies involved in the design, development, manufacturing, installation, and servicing of products or services.

For more than 18 years, parvus has been a developer, manufacturer and systems integrator of microcomputer boards and control systems. It specializes in the embedded PC-compatible architecture PC/104, which is widely implemented in medical, military, aviation, robotics, and industrial automation applications.

The March 2002 audit acknowledges parvus' ongoing commitment to a company-wide quality management system conforming to ISO's stringent requirements. parvus received its initial ISO-9001 certification in May 1993 with subsequent surveillance audits every six months, as well as two full recertifications in 1996 and 1999.

During the audit, Eagle examined parvus' documents and records, interviewed employees, and observed actual work practices. parvus' quality system was assessed on 20 elements and determined to be consistent with ISO procedures. parvus supports its quality system with comprehensive training, periodic internal audits, and preventive and corrective activities, as necessary.
