Novelist Assigned Literary Beat At MyShelf.com

Award-Winning Author of "This is the Place" will cover all things literary for a new department at well-traveled website for readers and writers.

MyShelf.com has a bookshelf for everyone. There is a shelf for mysteries, for romance, for fantasy, for science fiction. Now there will also be one for those who prefer the likes of Elizabeth Berg, Harper Lee or even Chekhov.

Award-winning writer of "This is the Place," Carolyn Howard-Johnson, will cover all things literary in her new column for the popular website. A former teacher and English literature major, Howard-Johnson not only has an interest in poetry, the classics and new literary work but has a knack for the controversial. (See her latest rant on David Vice on the front page of www.bookzonepro.com through the end of this week.)

The author recently won an award from her publisher for sales and promotion and "This is the Place" won Sime-Gen's Reviewers' Choice Award in the mainstream category this spring. Her book "Harkening: A Collection of Stories Remembered" explores the question of truth in fiction and she is now working on a book of poetry called "Skyscapes: A Woman's Reflections."
