HOBOKEN, NJ - March, 2002 -- The Inner Swine Publisher Jeff Somers will be appearing in Book Stores across the country to read from his books Lifers" (ISBN 0-88739-322-5, Creative Arts Book Company) and The Freaks are Winning: The Inner Swine Collection" (ISBN 0-9713719-0-3).

HOBOKEN, NJ - March, 2002 -- The Inner Swine Publisher Jeff Somers will be appearing in Book Stores across the country to read from his books Lifers" (ISBN 0-88739-322-5, Creative Arts Book Company) and The Freaks are Winning: The Inner Swine Collection" (ISBN 0-9713719-0-3).

Lifers" is a work of fiction published in early 2001. Bruce Allen of The New York Times Book Review wrote of it, ...in this engaging, laid-back first novel...Jeff Somers observes these amiable sociopaths with a funky wit." Deborah Rysso of Booklist describes Lifers" as a highly entertaining if chillingly accurate reflection of the apathetic work ethics and life disappointments of Gen X postcollegiate dreamers." The Freaks are Winning" is a collection of articles from the first 25 issues of The Inner Swine, published quarterly since 1995 and written almost exclusively by Jeff. It was printed by Tower Magazines and will be available in all Tower Records stores, as well as other outlets.

A 1993 Rutgers University graduate, Somers has published several short stories in magazines such as The Portland Review, The Whirligig, Aberrations, Angry Thoreauan, www.webdelsol.com, Another Chicago Magazine, and others. He co-authored the comic book Sliders: Blood and Splendor" (with Jeof Vita).

The Big-Assed Famous" Book Tour will make stops in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C. during the Spring and Summer of 2002 (more to come):
