Frederick Engineering announces new physical line and datacom analyzer addition to their ParaScope Telecom/Datacom Analyzer Series.

BALTIMORE, Maryland -- 26 March 2002 - Frederick Engineering Inc. announces the ParaScope 3000, a PC based, portable datacom/telecom and protocol analyzer. The ParaScope 3000 has the unique ability to provide both physical line analysis and datacom analysis at speeds up to 45 Mps.

The size of a laptop, the ParaScope 3000 has a modular design that allows you to choose interfaces at the time of purchase, including DS3, T1, E1, ISDN PRI, BRI, Frame Relay, SS7, etc. All legacy interfaces such as V.35/RS-449, RS-530, and RS-232/X.21 are included. As needs change over time, other interface modules can be added. A rechargeable battery pack guarantees that you can get the job done even when there is no AC outlet available.

The user-friendly graphical windows interface makes the ParaScope 3000 simple to use and intuitive. The ParaScope 3000 operates with FEs WinXL software and is fully compatible with Windows 2000, 95/98, NT, and XP operating systems. Upgrades to WinXL can be downloaded from FEs website and installed easily.

The ParaScope 3000 provides complete 7 layer analysis for testing the integrity of WAN links and verifying the claims of hardware vendors and service providers. Typical applications include analyzing and simulating connection issues involving Frame Relay, SS7, ISDN BRI and PRI, analog and others, corporate test facilities to aid in devising disaster-recovery scenarios, stress testing infrastructure before deployment, enterprise network decoding, troubleshooting, traffic flow analysis, and decoding of call setup routines.
