DENVER, COLORADO, March 24, 2002 -- Velatteä, a Java-based rapid application assembly tool for J2EEä-compatible application servers, is being launched at JavaOne (sm) 2002.    

Velatte is a design and run, Object Oriented Java environment which generates reusable Java classes and code for the J2EE environment. Using visual modeling techniques and a shared XML repository for business models, attributes, and rules, developers are shielded from the risk, complexity (and tedium) of coding entire Java applications for the J2EE environment.

Velatte provides re-useable software components that can be easily assembled to massively speed up the software application development process. Business applications can be quickly modified, by adjusting the visual model to reflect the new requirements. This provides the benefit of a fully customized Web-enabled business application, based on standard components. Velatte greatly increases productivity gains when compared to conventional software development methods.

Velatte utilizes an XML repository to store and access business entities and processes. The repository describes how these software objects" should work on J2EE Servers and ANSI Standard SQL Databases This eliminates editing, compiling and debugging reams of program code typically required to build applications.
