Digital illusion Studios, Inc. Becomes SOFTIMAGE|XSI Animation Boutique.

Nashville, TN -- March 22, 2002 -- Digital illusion Studios, Inc., a newly formed animation boutique, today announced their decision to adopt SOFTIMAGE|XSI v.2.0 technology for their studio. Softimage, a subsidiary of Avid Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVID), is headquartered in Montreal, Canada, and has been a leader of innovation in the animation industry for the past 15 years.

Rick Walia, co-founder of Digital illusion Studios, stated, DiS believes in creating art and SOFTIMAGE|XSI gives our artists full control instead of creating work-arounds which we have had to do in previous software. Since moving over to XSI, we can project a 40% decrease in production time, therefore giving us more time to provide our clients with the highest quality end product in a very reasonable timeframe. We are very happy with the added support, advances and quick releases that come from Softimage and look forward to a long lasting and strong relationship."

Softimage is pleased to welcome Digital illusion Studios into the XSI user base -- we know that with the substantial amount of key features that are in version 2.0 they will have a creative and productive pipeline and we look forward to seeing them turn out exciting new projects very soon," stated Christopher Egan, Softimage sales representative.
