NEW MEXICO BUSINESSMAN NAMED 2001 BUSINESSMAN OF THE YEAR
Congressman Tom Davis, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC") announced on February 24, 2002 that William K. Summers, M.D. has been awarded the 2001 New Mexico Businessman of the Year Award. This award recognizes the top U.S. business leaders who have successfully demonstrated leadership and entrepreneurship in their business. The award was recently announced in The Wall Street Journal.
Dr. William K. Summers, founder, President and CEO of Alzheimers Corporation, was selected to receive the award for his unselfish efforts as a member of NRCCs Business Advisory Council. In addition to being an influential business leader in his community, Dr. Summers has long supported a pro-business agenda in Congress.
Founded in 1999, Alzheimers Corporation is dedicated to the diagnosis and care of the memory-impaired elderly within the community. The mission of Alzheimers Corporation is to improve quality of life for both patient and caregiver through proper and rapid diagnosis, aggressive treatment with currently available drugs and neuroceuticals, while providing substantial savings to patients and families who are facing long-term care costs. Currently, Dr. Summers focus has been directed toward raising the capital necessary for production of the second neuroceutical.
