The Wright Place Television Show Fosters Child Safety
Rancho Cucamonga, CA--March 30, 2002-- Last year over 840,000 people were reported missing. 85-90% were juveniles. 74% of abducted children who are murdered are dead within three hours of the abduction. 19% of children have received unwanted sexual solicitations on-line. More than ever, children need to be educated on how to stay safe.
The Wright Place TV show will present 2 programs that will address child safety.
"We must be concerned about what happens to our children, our future depends on them." Said Dr. Letitia S. Wright, D.C., host of The Wright Place TV Show. "There are some great organizations that can help with prevention, parents just need to know about them." The Wright Place TV Show will highlight a free child safety CD called Safe and Sound in Our Town. The CD from 4 Positive Knowledge put music to the rules of staying safe from abduction and exploitation. "Every parent and grandparent can use this as a teaching tool, and its free." Says Dr. Wright.
Another program will feature an interview with Reve Walsh, co-founder of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Mrs. Walsh will be the keynote speaker on April 19th at the Costa Mesa Luncheon. "Organizations like NCMEC want to let people know they still need the public to be involved." Remarked Dr. Wright. "They need volunteers for the board, the speakers bureau and office assistance. All these positions help make the organization work well and assist our children in being safe."
