A victim of spousal abuse myself, I generally steer away from books focused on this subject (it still brings back nightmares sometimes), but WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR touched me in a way no other book has before. I admired Paige, and her faith, her strength of character, and her ability to change her future.
