LOW COST DIP IC PIN STRAIGHTENER
Frenchtown, NJ, April 2002 -- Aries Electronics, an international manufacturer of standard, programmed and custom interconnection products, has introduced the first anti-static version of a tool that provides a fast, easy and inexpensive means of straightening the pins of DIP IC devices.
Designated the DIP-R- SIZER®, this new Aries tool provides static protection while straightening the pins on .300" (7.62mm) or .600" (15.24mm) center DIP ICs. The tool eliminates the need for anti-static devices or complex, expensive pin straightening equipment.
In use, the device to be straightened is placed on the inside of one side the tool or the other, depending on center spacing. One easy squeeze brings the handles together and brings the leads into a tolerance of .320" (8.12mm) or .620" (15.74mm).
