Richard Rodriguez, former Vital Link chief operating officer, has been named chief executive officer, and Shane Shook has been named chief technology officer. Both appointments are effective immediately.

The appointment of Mr. Rodriguez comes on the heels of the resignation of former Vital Link chief executive officer, Glenn Bacheller. Mr. Bacheller also resigned his board seat.

About Richard Rodriguez
With over 15 years of executive management experience, Richard Rodriguez has successfully managed numerous high growth companies.

Prior to joining Vital Link, Mr. Rodriguez was chief executive officer of SurplusVillage.com, where he led efforts to create the web-based surplus inventory marketplace. Mr. Rodriguez also served as president, chief executive officer, and director of Elek-Tek, Inc., where he oversaw strategic planning and tactical implementation across all areas of the company. In addition, Mr. Rodriguez was senior vice president of sales and marketing for Creative Computers, Inc., where he helped to quadruple the size and revenues of the single-store $40 million operation, and led it through two successful public offerings.

With over 16 years of technical experience, Shane Shook has a proven track record of helping young companies optimize engineering operations.

Prior to joining Vital Link, Mr. Shook was chief technology officer for UnwiredX, Inc. and Aerobank.com. Previously, Mr. Shook was advisor/chief technical strategist for the Wellcomm Group, Inc. Mr. Shook began his career in the Air Force as an Airborne Cryptologic Linguist. He also worked on database systems for the National Security Agency and contributed to studies for the FBI and CIA. Mr. Shook holds an A.S. in Applied Science/Applied Communications Technology, a B.S. in Technology Management, an M.B.A. in Economics, and a Ph.D., in Organization & Management.
