Xpherix Appoints New Chief Technology Officer; Technology Veteran Patrick Sullivan to Lead Global Operational Capabilities

Xpherix Corporation, the leading provider of Personalized Directory Assistance solutions, today announced the appointment of Patrick Sullivan to Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. Sullivan will spearhead the company's global operational capabilities, including engineering development, quality assurance, internal applications and infrastructure.

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--April 2, 2002--Xpherix Corporation, the leading provider of Personalized Directory Assistance solutions, today announced the appointment of Patrick Sullivan to Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately. Sullivan will spearhead the company's global operational capabilities, including engineering development, quality assurance, internal applications and infrastructure.

Prior to joining Xpherix, Mr. Sullivan served as Chief Information Officer of Sigma Networks where he was responsible for the architecture and delivery of complete technology solutions including full process automation, industry-leading network provisioning times, secure customer web portal access, sales force automation, billing and other company-specific solutions. Mr. Sullivan also served as CIO at Securities America where he implemented a portfolio of industry-leading technology solutions and the requisite infrastructure allowing the company's brokers to manage their business anytime, anywhere.
