Mimis American Bistro announces Mimis Star Search"

Mimis American Bistro announces Mimis Star Search," a series of talent competitions for amateur singers in the Washington, D.C. area. Mimis Star Search" gives local talent a showcase to perform in front of a live audience and be judged by some of the areas most talented and important theater, music and business leaders. Judges include theater directors, actors, voice and music teachers and other patrons of the arts.

Mimis Star Search" starts on Tuesday, April 2, 2002 and will occur on the first Tuesday of each month from 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The contest is open to singers 21 years of age or older who have made less than $2,500 in the last 12 months from performing.

Mimis Star Search" will have qualifying rounds of three contests each and a semi-final round.

The event is part of Mimis community outreach, and offers singers a chance to grow artistically and learn what its like to perform in a professional setting. Itll be a lot of fun.
