Animal Fair Media Chooses SellYourItem.com to Host Paws for Style Auctions Benefiting the Humane Society of NY

TAMPA BAY, Florida -- April 8, 2002 -- SellYourItem.com announced today their site has been chosen to host this year's Paws for Style auctions, benefiting the Humane Society of NY.

In previous years, auctions were held at www.allstarcharities.com powered by Yahoo! Auctions. With the demise of www.allstarcharities.com, Animal Fair Media needed a new home and SellYourItem.com gladly stepped in.

Designers Bill Blass, Ralph Lauren, Joe Boxer, Kate Spade and FuManSkeeto by NSYNC's Chris Kirkpatrick, among others, lent their talents to create original designs to be used in a fashion show held on March 12th in New York.

Singer Willa Ford, Fox News channel's Brian Kilmeade, rapper lil' Kim, actress Hallie Kate Eisenberg and Rosie O'Donnell Show band leader John McDaniel and their canine companions, just to name a few, donned coordinating outfits, for the event held at Exit, for this worthwhile cause.

The auctions, scheduled to begin on April 10th and running for 30 days, will have starting bids as low as $20 for these one of a kind designs. 100% of the ending bid will go directly to the Humane Society of NY.

Since 1904, The Humane Society of New York has been a presence in New York City; reaching out to animals in need when illness, injury and homelessness strikes. Today, its hospital, spay and neuter program and the Vladimir and Wanda Toscanini Horwitz Adoption Center help 30,000 dogs and cats annually and their numbers continue to grow. The cost of caring is high and, for the Society, help is made possible entirely by its own fund raising efforts, including the charitable gifts of people who value and choose to support its mission.
