Max Seguineau, CEO for Antepo, to deliver keynote address at Pulver's Location-Based Summit 2002
In the largest event devoted to Wireless Location-based services, Max Seguineau will outline Antepo's unique approach to next-generation Presence-based mobile Messaging.
New York, NY - April 10, 2002. Pulver's Location-Based Services Summit will take place April 8-10 in Seattle (WA) and gather senior executives from leading wireless companies to draw perspectives for location-based services (LBS). As a keynote speaker for the topic "Location-driven Messaging and Presence Services", Max Seguineau will explain how location information is successfully leveraged as part of Antepo's Jabber-based ACCEPT(TM) platform to help carriers drive ARPU.
"Wireless networks natively know whether mobile devices are on or off and where users are at a specific moment. Our objective is to turn this network information into added value that provides intelligent Presence and Availability management to end-users and drives new revenue streams for carriers", Max Seguineau, Chairman and CEO of Antepo, says.
According to the Kelsey Group, the location-based service market should exceed $11 billion in revenue by 2005 and present a substantial emerging market opportunity for wireless providers.
However location information in itself does not directly deliver on the promise of better mobile data services. It requires successful combination with proven applications, like Presence-based Jabber Messaging, to accelerate end-user acceptance of wireless phones as data devices and increase the attractiveness of such services.
"Antepo brings Jabber Messaging to a new paradigm by making it mobile and location-aware", Max Seguineau adds. "Moving forward, wireless broadband and 3G networks will offer more personalized mobile communications to mass market. To keep up with this trend, Antepo's ACCEPT(TM) platform will encompass a new breed of components allowing end-users to set "follow-me" rules according to several parameters (device type, senders' IDs, location) and define discriminated availability status".
