Mercury Interactive Appoints New Vice President Of Sales Asia Pacific
Mercury Interactive Corporation (Nasdaq: MERQ), the leading provider of enterprise testing and application performance management solutions, today announced the appointment of Wilson Tan as its new Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific. Reporting to Ken Klein, chief operating officer for Mercury Interactive, Tan will drive Mercury Interactives business strategies and build strategic partnerships to continue the companys expansion in the region.
Tan is currently Chairman of the Singapore IT Standards Committee (ITSC) and the immediate past Chairman of Singapore Information Technology Federation (SITF).

With a career spanning over 20 years in the information technology industry, Tan was previously the Vice President and Managing Director for Software AG Asia Pacific where he was responsible for defining, developing and implementing business and organizational strategies across the region. Prior to that, he was the Regional Director for Informix where he was instrumental in pioneering a direct sales force focusing on a line-of-business model and also forging strategic alliances with leading hardware and solution partners. Tan had also previously held various business and management appointments at Apple Computer and Xerox Corporation.
Tan is currently Chairman of the Singapore IT Standards Committee (ITSC) and the immediate past Chairman of Singapore Information Technology Federation (SITF). He is a board member of the Institute of Systems Science (ISS) and Bizlink Singapore; a non-profit organization that assists disabled individuals. He also sits on the Advisorial Committee of the School of ICT in Singapore Polytechnic and the School of Computer Engineering at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Tan had also served as board member of the National Computer Board (NCB) and the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore Board (IDA).
