DigitalCandle, Inc. today announced it has reached an agreement to purchase Rocket Download from Ashland, Ore. - based Share Tech, Inc. Rocket Download provides an Internet archive of shareware," or software titles that consumers are allowed to try prior to purchase. Launched in 1997, the web site receives over 900,000 visitors a month. DigitalCandle provides marketing and order processing services for independent software developers who create these shareware applications. Bellevue, Wash.-- Apr. 12, 2002 - DigitalCandle, Inc. today announced it has reached an agreement to purchase Rocket Download from Ashland, Ore. - based Share Tech, Inc. Among the terms of agreement, Share Tech will have a 10 percent interest in DigitalCandle stock. DigitalCandle will appoint Lara Knackstedt, Share Techs chief operating officer, to its board of directors. Knackstedts primary duty is to successfully integrate and monetize the site.
