Open Interface North America Releases BlueMagic 3.0 to Target the Embedded Bluetooth Wireless Connectivity Market.
BlueMagic 3.0 to be demonstrated during Bluetooth Expo 2002 in Tokyo.
TOKYO, Japan - April 17, 2002 -- Open Interface North America, Inc., a leading provider of Bluetooth wireless technology solutions, announced today the release of BlueMagic 3.0, a high-performance Bluetooth protocol stack designed specifically for solutions in the embedded Bluetooth market. BlueMagic 3.0 will be demonstrated by Open Interface during Bluetooth Expo 2002 in Tokyo, Japan, April 17-19 booth B-110.
BlueMagic 3.0 is based on Open Interfaces platform independent, high-performance single-threaded CThru architecture. It is a portable, modular and scalable stack that has been designed to minimize the cost of integrating Bluetooth technology into an embedded system. BlueMagic 3.0 does not require system services such as memory management or thread support. Bluetooth application developers are able to configure the BlueMagic 3.0 stack to provide only the functionality required by the application without the need to delve into the stack source code.
We are making it as easy as possible for our customers to develop Bluetooth applications. If the customer must look at the protocol stack source code to develop a Bluetooth application, experience shows that this increases the time to market and cost over the lifetime of the product." said Open Interface VP Product Development, Greg Burns. "We believe BlueMagic 3.0 provides Bluetooth application developers the flexibility required for embedded applications without requiring them to become Bluetooth protocol stack experts."
BlueMagic 3.0 supports a non-blocking command/event programming model that provides low latency, requires minimal memory and CPU resources, and avoids the context switch overhead inherent in multi-threaded implementations.
