BridgeSpan Inc. (www.bridgespan.com) has deployed Chrysalis-ITS HSMs to perform secure digital signing for online mortgage transactions processed with BridgeSpans eMortgageAxis platform.

eMortgageAxis enables lenders to create and process the mortgage loan files on an electronic "platform" which is developed and run by BridgeSpan. All the key parties involved in a mortgage loan transaction, including the lender, title company and borrower, can access and collaborate on the Web-based platform. The process enables lenders to process home loans from closing to signing through post closing and investor delivery, totally online. This process saves lenders hundreds of dollars per loan and provides new convenience for consumers by enabling access to the loan documents before closing.

Such an application requires a high level of hardware security to ensure authentication of parties and complete confidentiality of all of the sensitive data. Industry leading Chrysalis-ITS HSMs are used for key protection, generation and signing for each electronically signed transaction processed by BridgeSpans application.
