"...Amist an array of teen pop music and sugar coated lyrics these days, it is a nice change to finally hear such hearfelt (sometimes hearwrenching) lyrics from a teen musician. Due to this Chucks populary has spread though many similar band's webpages and hits on his webpage have been increasing exponentially...."
"Fading to Fall" is what has now become the solo acoustic writings of Chuck Tally, an 18 year old student at the University of California, Berkeley.
Growing up in Southern California (in the small town of El Centro) Chuck spent most of his time skateboarding and going to high school. As a Violist in the local high school orchestra for six years he learned much about harmonies and musical theory. However, it wasn't until he got his hands on a cheap 40 dollar acoustic at the age of 15 that he really started to get into music (from the songwriting perspective).
Ever since Chuck picked up that "Monarch" brand guitar a little over three years ago, he has constantly striven to better his songwriting and musicianship. Using his acoustic guitar based music and harmonized vocal tracks, he depicts scenes of love (and sometimes bitter loss) from his own life. His lyrics however, leave much room for interpretation and have a universally relatable feel to them because, after all, the audience deserves to reminisce too. Amist an array of teen pop music and sugar coated lyrics these days, it is a nice change to finally hear such hearfelt (sometimes hearwrenching) lyrics from a teen musician. Due to this Chucks populary has spread though many similar band's webpages and hits on his webpage have been increasing exponentially.
Chuck currently has two songs recorded on mp3.com and hopes to re-record them, as well as a couple more tracks soon. This summer he will have time between school to get into a professional studio and record some songs. More than likely a five or six track "EP" will be available on mp3.com by the end of this coming summer.
