Mixture Sciences, Inc. Co-authors Recent Article in Cancer Research Describing the Integration of Combinatorial Chemistry and Bioinformatics for the Development of Tumor Vaccines.
Mixture Sciences, Inc., of San Diego, California, in collaboration with researchers at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, the Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies and the National Cancer Institute report on the utility of mixture-based peptide combinatorial libraries and biometrical data analysis for the identification of peptides recognized by T lymphocytes in the April 1, 2002 issue of Cancer Research (62, 2058-2063). Mixture-based combinatorial libraries and biometrical data analysis are integral components of Mixture Sciences ligand discovery platform. The results reported in the article illustrate the power of mixture-based peptide combinatorial libraries, specifically positional scanning synthetic combinatorial libraries (PS-SCL), in conjunction with biometrical data analysis for the identification and optimization of tumor associated antigens. The identification of effective and potent antigens is an important step forward in the design of effective cancer vaccines.
