New Chrome Free Coating System provides
Corrosion Resistance up to 1000 hrs. Salt Spray
Atlanta, GA USA -- April 9, 2002 - E/M, a subsidiary of The Morgan Crucible Company plc, launches its new Everlube 10036 zinc-rich barrier coating and Everlube 10051 UV stable coating system. The combination of this two-part coating system offers extreme corrosion resistance along with excellent UV stability.
Everlube 10036 is primarily used as a galvanic protective base coating for corrosion resistance, in many cases exceeding 1000 hours of salt spray protection. It is chrome free and can be used as a replacement for CAD plating, zinc plating and other competitive coating systems. Everlube 10036 is top coated with Everlube 10051 to add performance enhancements such as UV stability, color flexibility, and lubricity. This UV stable topcoat has been tested to SAE J1960-89. This specification requires testing using 1000 hours of Xenon light, which is equivalent to 5 to 10 years in direct sunlight.
This coating system can be used in a wide variety of industries where corrosion is a performance issue, and it can be processed by either bulk coat or spray application. Everlube 10036 may also be used with additional or alternate topcoat systems, depending on the required performance criteria. For additional technical information on this particular coating system, please email us at info@em-coatings.com and reference Everlube 10036 and 10051 coating system.
E/M applies this coating at facilities in Atlanta, Minneapolis, Chicago, Detroit, Hartford, Los Angeles (2), San Francisco, United Kingdom (2) and Germany. E/M also offers a broad line of coating systems that can handle many of todays toughest design engineering challenges. Along with E/Ms traditional solid film lubricants, they also offer EMI/RFI shielding and conformal coatings, along with Diamonex branded DLC (Diamond Like Carbon) coating processes and CVD processes.
