MAY DAY AT THE BAY AT CHICKS BEACH, VIRGINIA FOSTERS COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT TO BENEFIT LOCAL CHARITIES

VA BEACH, VA -- Chick's Beach Cafe, in association with Arbor Vitae and DuBay Properties, will host the first annual May Day at the Bay" outdoor charity concert on Sunday, May 5th, 2002, at Chick's Beach Cafe.

The May Day at the Bay concert will feature Legendary funk-ska band Fishbone who will perform selections from their latest CD, "The Friendliest Psychosis of All." Also featured, local favorite Lucky-Town, known for their premiere LP Welcome to Lucky Town" (Daradream Records).

May Day at the Bay will donate a portion of its proceeds to the following organizations: Team Chick's Beach Relay (participating in the Relay for Life with the American Cancer Society), Chesapeake Beach Volunteer Fire & Rescue
Squad 4, and the Chesapeake Beach Civic League.

Its a great idea," states Ed Leonard, department president of the Chesapeake Beach Volunteer Fire & Rescue Squad 4. Giving something to get the community together and giving something back to the community at the
same time."

The main entrance to the show will be at the Chicks Beach Cafe parking lot, located at 4600 Lookout Road. Ticket cost $15.00 in advance, $20.00 at the gate, and are available at Chick's Beach Cafe and all Ticketmaster locations. Gates open at noon.
