Mike Schiller's Releases First Full Book Of Poetry
"Sentences I Freed From The Ropes They Tried To Weave Around Me"
Critically acclaimed and increasingly popular poet Mike Schiller has released his first book of poetry. The book is 167 pages, filled with over 80 poems written between 1994 and 2002.
After building a loyal and dedicated online following for his poetry, Mike Schiller has finished his first book. The book, "Sentences I Freed From The Ropes They Tried To Weave Around Me" featured over 80 of his poems.
An electronic version of the book was sent to book reviewers, as well as literature themed cable television and broadcast radio programs April 22, 2002. A limited edition spiral bound hardcover has been made available via his website, www.mikeschiller.com, with a paperback edition due this summer.
One poem from the book, "Nothing Bad Ever Happens Here" will be read aloud by a speaker at the Million Mom March convention in Seattle this May. the poem has also been published by Join Together, a project of the Boston University School Of Public Health.
His website is visted by over 5,000 people per month and over 1,300 people subscribe to his email update list. Very few poets achieve such visibility without the backing of a major publishing house or a side-career in entertainment.
