Mentergy Announces Release of Quest ä 7.0, Top Development Tool for Course Publishing to the Web
Mentergy's premier authoring and development tool is now faster with a more web friendly development environment
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) April 25, 2002 - Mentergy ä (NASDAQ: MNTE), a leading global provider of blended e-Learning enterprise solutions, today announced the release of Quest Ò 7.0. The release program is now faster, more streamlined, and more web-friendly. Quest 7.0 is an object-oriented authoring tool optimized for the development of interactive training for delivery via the Internet, intranet, CD-ROMs or LANs. Its WYSIWYG, frame-based development environment is favored by trainers because of its visual nature and straightforward architecture. Trainers worldwide in industry, government, the military and education use Quest to create a wide variety of interactive applications, ranging from soft skills training simulations to Internet-based product knowledge training.
Quest's new features benefit the developer and are quicker and easier to use-without sacrificing the powerful functionality that distinguishes Quest from other authoring tools. The new version also incorporates many customer-requested enhancements and patches. It allows users to release large courses more quickly and with less interaction with the developer. And new options guide the user through releasing a course specifically for Web delivery, even creating an index.htm startup file that prepares the course for delivery from a CMI system or LMS, complete with AICC-standard HTTP student data communication.
Building upon features currently available in Quest 6.0, new features include a complete re-design of the Quest QuickStarts along with greatly augmented FastTracks libraries that will allow for a faster, more web-friendly development environment. The new QuickStarts give developers complete course layouts, ready to receive their content, with navigation, data storage, randomized testing, glossary, and score screen included, and with multiple motifs. The QuickStarts and new FastTracks also give much more powerful integration with the new Quest Synergy (Quest's link to Designer's Edge), soon to be released.
Using Quest, developers create a single course that remains highly interactive regardless of delivery medium. There is no need to create two versions of a course, one for Web delivery and the other for CD or LAN delivery-only one version is needed. The Quest Player handles all technical aspects of Web or CD delivery, with no loss of functionality.
Quest 7.0 is priced at $2495 and will be automatically shipped to Mentergy clients current on their Quest maintenance. To reserve a copy of the new Quest, please call us at 1-800-325-7850 or visit www.mentergy.com.
