BERKELEY, CA -- The Fisher Center for Information Technology and Marketplace Transformation (CITM), Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley is hosting a conference on May 2, 2002: "Enabling eBusiness through Channel Integration." University faculty members join corporate leaders in discussing the present and future impact of corporations caught in radical eBusiness Transformation. Speakers include Bill Bass, SVP, Lands End, Inc., who will discuss Lands Ends transition to a multi-channel company, and Ken Harris, SVP and CIO, The Gap, Inc., who will speak on New Paradigms for Technology Success at The Gap." In addition, a panel of experts will discuss differences and similarities in B2B vs. B2C channel integration. Registration fee: $595.00; a discount rate of $495.00 is available if received by April 23rd.
CITM and the RTEN Group in cooperation with CommerceNet and The Net21 initiative are offering a day and half conference June 12-13: "Real-time Enterprise Realization through Web Services" featuring Chris Thomas, Intel's Chief E-Strategist as the keynote speaker. Other speakers include Mike Boyle, CIO and Director of Electronic Trading, Robertson Stephens, and Tyler Jewell, Director, Technical Evangelism, BEA Systems, Inc. Case studies of first adopters of Web services will be presented by CITMs researchers. The early bird fee (until May 24th) for this event is $795, or $595 and $295 for the first and second day only, respectively.
CITM and the Total Data Quality Management (TDQM) at MIT are partnering in research and outreach in the Data Quality area. TDQM is offering an intensive workshop on Data Quality Management on July 15-17, 2002 at MIT.
