April 22 2002 -- Home Media Networks Ltd, developer of network capable home entertainment software today announced that ShowShifter is available in French, Spanish and German versions to help accelerate sales across the continent. ShowShifter allows the user to watch, record and time shift (pause) TV, play DVD videos, listen to CDs and MP3 music files all through one interface, and includes a customisable electronic programme guide.

ShowShifter is a pioneering software application with 'time shifting technology, allowing users to 'pause live TV and then subsequently resume from where they left off. The TV signal is recorded in real time on the PC hard disk and can then be played back from where the viewer left off while the current live TV is still being recorded. Evaluation versions of English and international versions of ShowShifter can be downloaded from www.showshifter.com.

The PVR market has seen increasing interest over the past few months due to a number of high profile multinationals joining the fray, however, the UKs ShowShifter remains at the forefront of the software PVR market, having already secured several high-profile OEM agreements and a loyal user base.
