CHYRON WINS TWO "PICK OF SHOW" AWARDS AT NAB 2002
Chyron Corporation wins two Broadcast Engineering awards during NAB for engineering excellence.
MELVILLE, NY, April 22, 2002 -- Chyron Corporation (OTC BB: CYRO) announces that two products unveiled at NAB were chosen for Broadcast Engineering's "Pick of Show" awards. The winners were Chyron's Sirius router and NewsCrawl, an automated data application. Sirius was voted for its ability to provide "in-router" A to D and D to A conversion for both audio and video, making it capable of routing NTSC/PAL inputs to SDI outputs and analog audio inputs to AES outputs or vice versa without external conversion equipment. The Sirius router's "in router" video and audio conversion capability is greatly beneficial to broadcasters who are making the digital transition.
NewsCrawl is a simple-to-use application that will enable a Duet SD, LEX, or PCI character generator user to insert up to three automated lower third news, weather, sports or data crawls into program video. NewsCrawl Lite enables a single crawl using a Digital pcCODI.
"Winning an award from Broadcast Engineering is a great honor, and we are privileged to have received two at this year's NAB," said Graham Pitman, senior vice president, worldwide sales and marketing for Chyron. "Sirius and NewsCrawl came about by listening to customer needs and developing effective and affordable solutions, obviously a winning strategy."
