Parker Software Releases NewsHunter 1.5.4

Parker Software Development, Inc. has released NewsHunter 1.5.4. NewsHunter is an application that automates the process of downloading images and files from Usenet newsgroups. NewsHunter runs under OS X. There is also NewsHunter Classic for those who have not yet upgraded to Apple Computer's latest operating system.

Miami, Florida, (April 24, 2002) -- Parker, Eridanus Join Forces: Release
NewsHunter 1.5.4

Parker Software Development, Inc. has released NewsHunter 1.5.4. NewsHunter
is an application that automates the process of downloading images and files
from Usenet newsgroups. NewsHunter runs under OS X. There is also NewsHunter
Classic for those who have not yet upgraded to Apple Computer's latest
operating system.

The announcement comes at the tail end of an agreement signed between Parker
Software and Eridanus, Inc. "Basically, Parker is going to be marketing the
software developed by our company," said Mike Trivisonno of Eridanus, Inc.
"Baker and Baker Classic have been given new identities and will now be sold
under the names NewsHunter and NewsHunter Classic. We are encouraging all
owners of Eridanus products to begin using the new applications from
Parker," continued Trivisonno.

While details of all the features supported by NewsHunter are available on
the Parker Software web site, Trivisonno went on to briefly mention a few.
Some of these are Persistent Article Queues, which allow NewsHunter to
suspend and resume downloads, support for multiple documents and multiple
news server accounts, as well as automatic assembly of multipart posts and
configurable download folders for each newsgroup. To make tech support
easier, NewsHunter can also generate detailed error and event logs that can
be emailed to Parker Software.

"Owners of Baker and Baker Classic can upgrade to NewsHunter and NewsHunter
Classic at no charge. Your old reg keys will work with the new programs,"
Trivisonno said.

Also available is Archer, a free multimedia slide show player. "Archer is a
nice freeware app," said Trivisonno. "We have received numerous emails from
people switching from Windows to Mac OS X and all of them express a great
deal of appreciation for the clean interface and single-

keystroke command feature of Archer as well as its ability to open a variety
of file types," he said.
Unregistered versions of NewsHunter and NewsHunter Classic are fully
functional, will not time out, and will never expire. They will, however,
occasionally display reminders to register the $49.95 program.
