World Cup Sports Flash!
With only a short time to go before the World Cup kicks off in Seoul, the Law Lords have finally agreed to allow pubs to open early for games. Great news -- but it does raise some critical questions.
- Which pubs are opening for 6.30am matches during the World Cup?
- Which pubs are supporting which national teams?
- How many have special promotions?
- Where can you get unbiased reports that rank pubs in terms of atmosphere, beer prices and screen size?
- How can you get information sent to your mobile?
Answers at www.sportspubs.co.uk
April, 2002 -- www.sportspubs.co.uk details over 300 pubs that televise national and international football matches. Pubs are ranked in terms of atmosphere, price of beer, and screen size, and include an unbiased review of a match night along with complete pub details such as opening times, food and special features. Simply select a geographical area and the site provides a list of pubs to visit including directions and map. There is also an email-a-friend facility, a regular email newsletter and an RIP page for pubs that have bitten the spit and sawdust.
More importantly, at the end of April we are proud to announce the launch of our World Cup coverage. For the first time we are promoting pubs outside London. Initially starting with several major cities (Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle), our aim is to build a national site for the sports enthusiast. In addition to this, we are highlighting World Cup opening times, promotions and charges. There will also be a search facility to find pubs that are supporting particular countries and a WAP version of the site at www.sportspubs.co.uk/wap.
With an Arsenal v Chelsea FA Cup Final, a possible Man Utd Champions League Final, three teams battling for the Premiership title, not to mention the World Cup, - the football season is reaching its climax in style. Sportspubs.co.uk offers football fans all the vital information they need to know about what, where and when to enjoy the next two months.
If you are doing any coverage of the World Cup, especially if it includes where to watch the matches, please contact us.
