In an effort to combat Internet fraud and abuse and assist consumers that want to do business on the internet without worrying about being scammed. The Online Business Ethics Association has added a Search Engine for consumers to search for OBEA Member businesses and a discussion forum for consumers to find and share specific information about their Online shopping experiences both good and bad

According to Scott B. Alliy President of the OBEA the new Search Engine Directory and Discussion forum were introduced for the benefit of Internet consumers but ultimately the member companies that we serve gain benefit too. If an OBEA member business has treated its customers exceptionally the consumer will be able to spread the good word in the new Discussion forum and the company can and should expect more business as a result.
If on the other hand a consumer and OBEA member business cannot come to agreement over a transaction the customer will have the opportunity to air their grievance and the member company will be able to read about it and can contact the consumer to rectify any misunderstanding.
