TRW Selects Conduants Ultra-Fast Disk-Based Recorders
to Replace Older Technologies
LONGMONT, Colorado, April 30, 2002 -- Conduant Corporation, the leading developer of ultra-fast, long duration recording and playback systems, announced today that TRW Inc. has signed a $1.7 million contract for its real-time recording systems. Conduants disk-based technology will replace older TRW recording technologies.
TRW is the first major user of Conduants Big River C200, a premium CompactPCI (peripheral component interface) recording system providing seven CompactPCI slots and eight built-in drive bays. The C200 is the first high-speed instrumentation recorder offering cable-less drive integration with Conduants StreamStor technology.
Conduants relationship with TRW further demonstrates that our StreamStor technology is a practical and highly competitive solution for long duration, data intensive applications with sustained recording and/or playback requirements," said Conduants Tom Skrobacz, VP Business Development. TRW is leading a major trend that we see developing as the instrumentation market upgrades from older tape technologies to high-speed, disk-based solutions".
