VULCAN MINERALS INC. - Warrant Extension

St. Johns - Newfoundland - Vulcan Minerals Inc. (the Company" TSX: VUL) announces that it has made application to the TSX Venture Exchange for an extension of term for 160,000 warrants from an original expiry date of May 12, 2002 to February 9, 2003. The exercise price remains unchanged at $0.40. The warrant holder is an arms-length party. The application is subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
