QUINTUM INKS AUSTRALASIA DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH SYDNEY-BASED COMMS CONNECT FOR UNIQUE VOIP SOLUTIONS
Regional Service Providers and Enterprise Customers Gain Local Sourcing for Innovative, High-Reliability Tenor MultiPath Switch Technology
EATONTOWN, NJ, May 2, 2002 ---- Leading VoIP solutions innovator Quintum Technologies Inc. today announced a distribution agreement with Sydney-based Comms Connect Pty. Ltd. to market its unique, high-reliability Tenor VoIP MultiPath Switch product lines to service providers and enterprise customers throughout Australasia. This agreement extends Quintums global reach, which already encompasses distribution channels across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Quintums Tenor VoIP MultiPath Switch ensures the quality of voice services by monitoring the quality of IP traffic and transparently switching calls to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) in the event that those calls are threatened by packet loss, jitter or latency. This capability makes the Tenor an ideal solution for service providers and enterprises seeking the cost savings and flexibility associated with VoIP without jeopardizing call quality or reliability.
Quintum has developed other unique technological innovations for its Tenor switches -- including NATAccess, which allows companies to keep their VoIP gateways behind NATs and NAT-enabled firewalls, and PacketSaver multiplexing, which utilizes compression technology to reduce both bandwidth requirements and congestion in VoIP networks.
Quintums Tenor solutions are fully compliant with regional telecom standards, making them ideal for both local and global applications.
The quality, ease of implementation, and cost-efficiency of Quintums VoIP solutions make them extremely appealing to customers in just about every market segment," said Comms Connect President, Robert Hayden. We look forward to introducing Tenor MultiPath switching technology to the Australasian telecom community and seeing it contribute to a significant increase in VoIP implementations."
In addition to distributing the Tenor products Comms Connect will provide customers with local support and network consulting services. Quintum and Comms Connect also plan a variety of joint marketing and promotional activities in the region.
Having such a strong local distributor on our team will be an invaluable asset as Quintum continues to drive global VoIP adoption with highly reliable, rapidly implementable VoIP switching solutions," said Chuck Rutledge, Quintums VP of marketing. We are already seeing results in the Australasian region from this distribution partnership."
