SimpleSoft introduces a new product that identifies vulnerabilities in SNMPv3 implementations, as well as SNMPv2c and SNMPv1 implementations.

A February CERT security advisory exposed potential vulnerabilities in the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and stated that SNMP installations were vulnerable to denial-of-service-type attacks. As security issues surrounding enterprise network installations circulated, SimpleSoft engineered a cost-effective, intelligent vulnerability test solution.

SimpleSleuth has a modular architecture that allows users to purchase only the needed test suite modules, maximizing their return on investment. Test packets are dynamically created and configurable, giving the user control over the test environment and various values used in the packet. Tests can be configured to check agent status after each bad packet transmission.
